Loftia is planned for Nintendo Switch in 2027. As of October 23, 2026, there is no announced month or day for that version. The November 3, 2026 Early Access launch is for PC and Mac through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The Switch date is separate from PC Early Access
If you want to play on a Nintendo console, plan around the 2027 window rather than the November computer launch. The current free Steam demo is a computer preview; it does not establish the availability of a Switch demo.
The platform announcement names Nintendo Switch. It does not provide a separate Switch 2 release commitment or confirmed details about console performance, resolution, or download size. Those details remain open when deciding whether to wait for a console version.
Expect an online game
Loftia requires an internet connection on every platform. Choosing to play alone does not create an offline mode: you can progress through almost all content solo, but your character still lives in the online world.
The announced Switch plan also requires Nintendo Switch Online for online play. That platform membership is separate from Loftia's own payment model; Loftia itself is buy-to-play and has no subscription to access its gameplay. Check the applicable Nintendo membership price in your region when the console release approaches.
Buying on PC does not include a Switch copy
You will need to purchase Loftia on each platform on which you want to play. Buying the computer version should therefore be a decision to play on a computer, not an assumption that it will include the future Switch edition.
Cross-play is still being researched and tested, and is not promised. Steam-to-Switch character transfer has not been confirmed either. If your main goal is to start on PC and continue the same character on Switch, wait for an explicit cross-progression announcement before treating that route as supported.
Physical edition status
The computer Early Access release is digital-only. A possible future physical edition is not a confirmed Switch retail release, so there is no announced physical package to plan around yet.
