The free demo is a preview

The Steam Next Fest demo is free and currently playable. It gives you a way to try Loftia's opening quests, farming, salvaging, decorating, and social play before deciding whether to buy Early Access.

Demo participation and website pre-registration do not include ownership of the paid game. Your demo progression can carry forward when your website account is linked, but you still need the game purchase to continue into paid Early Access.

What the game purchase covers

There is no Loftia subscription to access gameplay. A single game purchase provides access to its gameplay, and the current plan is to provide new content updates without paid expansions.

There are optional cosmetic purchases. The Backer Boutique sells appearances such as outfits, furniture, pet accessories and styles, and visual effects. The Community Pass adds cosmetic rewards to World Projects alongside rewards available to all players. These extras are not required to unlock the game's gameplay, and the monetization plan excludes gacha mechanics.

Costs to consider before buying twice

If you want to play on multiple platforms, each platform requires its own game purchase. The future Switch version also has a Nintendo Switch Online requirement, which is a platform membership rather than a Loftia subscription.

No final 1.0 price has been announced. The developers may consider a price increase closer to full release, but have not committed to one. Treat the stated Early Access price and launch discount as the current purchase plan rather than a guaranteed permanent price.
