Use a solar panel to recharge the battery that powers your crafting stations. Crafting consumes battery charges as well as recipe materials, so having enough ingredients does not always mean you can craft again immediately.
The energy tutorial describes this shared battery system, and demo players also report returning to a charging station between crafting or cooking actions. The tutorial images below come from the beta-era interface; use them to recognize the system, not as a guarantee that every demo prompt is identical.
Recharge before your next crafting session
- Check the battery charge shown by the station before starting another craft.
- Go to a solar panel and choose Charge Battery.
- Check your charge again before returning to the recipe you wanted to make.

Beta-era tutorial interface: solar panels recharge the battery used by crafting stations.
Do not confuse a charging problem with a missing recipe ingredient. The materials list and the battery indicator are separate checks: a recipe can have all its materials available while you still lack the energy needed to run it.
Make fewer unnecessary trips
Demo players repeatedly report being able to increase battery capacity from the initial five charges to ten. That is a community-reported demo limit, rather than a complete upgrade walkthrough. The exact unlock chain and upgrade cost are not confirmed here, so follow the progression and requirements displayed in your game.
For a longer crafting session, check charge before committing to a sequence of recipes. If you prefer shorter sessions, recharge between other activities rather than checking the station after each failed craft.
Night and rain still produce energy
Solar charging is not limited to clear daylight in this demo. The October 21 patch increased solar-panel generation at night and in rain, with particular improvement when both occur together. The patch does not establish a universal recharge time, so judge readiness by the charge available in your game.
