Loftia Platforms and Release Status

Quick Answer

Loftia launches in Early Access on Windows PC and Mac through Steam and Epic on November 3, 2026. Nintendo Switch follows in 2027. PS5 and Xbox are not announced. Every platform needs an internet connection and its own purchase.

The announced Loftia platforms are Windows PC and Mac for Early Access, followed by Nintendo Switch in 2027. The computer launch is scheduled for November 3, 2026, at 1 p.m. EST through Steam and the Epic Games Store. On October 23, the currently playable public version is the free Steam demo.

Steam and Epic are storefronts for the computer release. Steam Deck support is a device-support plan, not a separate console launch date. The named Nintendo plan is for Switch; it does not supply a separate Switch 2 announcement.

Controls and computer compatibility

Loftia's launch plan includes keyboard and mouse as well as controller play. Steam currently marks controller support as partial. The developer's controller and Steam Deck plans should not be read as a verified performance result on every device.

For Mac users, Steam lists Apple M2 as the minimum chip and macOS 14 Sonoma as the minimum operating system. Intel-based Macs are explicitly unsupported. A Mac version therefore does not mean compatibility with every Mac.

Online play applies on every platform

An internet connection is required regardless of platform. You can enjoy almost all content by yourself, but solo play still uses the online world. The Switch plan also requires Nintendo Switch Online.

To play with friends, you need to be on the same game server. That server rule does not establish cross-platform support: cross-play is being researched and tested, and has not been promised.

Purchases and transfers

You need a game purchase for each platform on which you want to play. A computer copy does not include the future Switch copy. Steam-to-Switch cross-progression has not been confirmed, so do not choose a first platform on the assumption that characters, purchases, or rewards will automatically transfer.
