Why Proficiencies Stop at Level 5

Quick Answer

Level 5 is the Loftia demo's proficiency cap, so reaching it does not mean a skill is broken or an unlock is missing. Early Access is planned to let proficiencies go further, and linked demo progress can carry forward.

Level 5 is the Loftia demo’s proficiency cap. Reaching it does not by itself indicate a broken skill or a missing unlock. Early Access is planned to let proficiencies progress further than this demo limit.

What reaching the cap means

The demo is an opening slice of Loftia, with a deliberately limited progression range. Once you reach level 5 in a proficiency, the confirmed next step for progression beyond the cap is Early Access. There is no documented demo quest, payment or hidden station that removes it.

The Early Access feature description names activities such as Farming, Crafting, Cooking and Fishing, with further proficiency progression and Perks. It does not provide a confirmed final level cap, a complete Perk chart or exact experience requirements for every level.

Continue with other demo goals

The cap does not mean the entire demo ends immediately. Within the content available to you, you can still work on your home, collect resources, complete available tasks, take part in Adventures and contribute to World Projects. Which tasks remain depends on your character’s progress.

Do not treat another skill’s unfinished objectives as a way to force this proficiency past its demo limit. The useful distinction is between activities you can still do and additional levels the current build does not offer.

Carry your progress into Early Access

Demo character progression, completed quests and collected items are intended to carry forward. Link your Loftia website account in-game using your email address to preserve that progress. This carryover does not establish that experience earned after reaching the cap is secretly banked for later; no such conversion rule is confirmed.
